What is Gua Sha? – Home Help
A way that you can make a difference and is totally time tested – for millennia likely – across all Asian cultures.
What is Sha?
Stagnation (of anything) that blocks circulation.
Could be cold – or old blood stuck in tissues – think ‘corked’ muscles and all that is bad bruises within,
Gua Sha removes this. As a natural healing remedy, gua sha is safe. It’s not really be painful, but often looks spectacular – and as you can hear in the clip below – astonishing to the ‘sufferer’. This procedure will hopefully change more than the temporary appearance of your skin.
As it involves rubbing or scraping skin with a massage tool, tiny blood vessels known as capillaries near the surface of your skin can look as though they have burst. Gua Sha can result in what looks like skin bruising. It does not hurt. It allows the body to get to the surface what was deeply held – and stopping healing. What looks like bruising usually disappears within a couple of days.

When would you?
When nothing else is working – and we need to get the body to work so it heals itself. .
1 – Could be beginning of the ‘flu’ or a cold caught. (Initial stages usually)
2 – Or – an old injury – no one has ‘fixed’
3 – Or new one – like Bell’s palsy – invasion of cold – a wind – very small one maybe in the time of change – and the body lets go protective function – maybe also very distressed with life.

A massively odd story.
He was a 15 year old almost fully trained aircraft bomber in Germany. He was on last training flight and the plane went down . .
He (being in warring Germany) had no medical attention as the medicos were in the war effort. – His arm did not get fixed. His elbow was not much good from then on. But – he was alive. A light plane down and he walked away . .
After the war – he and his doctor father escaped to South Africa.
He accidentally chopped his thumb off
(I surreptitiously looked – and he still has it on his hand . .)
This is UNBELIEVABLE!!
He took his thumb and went into local GP – and said he wanted to get it reattached . .
Doctor was preparing to stitch the skin over to have him thumb less.
Dr said ‘you are as bad as the black fellas’ – Meaning that they expected him to do miracles.
Werner collected his thumb – walked off. He could hear a lot of clicking behind him. The receptionist (‘coloured’ woman) was following him and told him who to go to and the local medicine man gave him what he needed. There is a thin mark where the scar is on the thumb. A clean cut it was.
Some years later – he chopped off his forearm. Same one!
Still attached obviously – . .
And he was taken by ambulance to the local hospital his dad a GP – heard of this and – as they were preparation again – put skin over and no arm . He went mad and told them to reattach – and they did.

Add I added in using moxa and castor oil packs – again – elder medicine from the deep past – it still works today.
