Placental issues – marginal cord insertion

DID YOU KNOW???? There are a lot of ‘abnormalities’ now we gave fetal scanning – though ‘roughly 9 out of every 100 pregnancies.‘ seems not to be much of an issue. The work in WDCD applies. Shall we improve the circulation? Allow the body to sort itself out? Especially now that the template is altered (the mandated jab will do weird things – esp in reproduction – what was not really investigated – as a potential for I.U.F.G.R. and low birth weight/premmie in general – may become a tsunami.  Potential outcome? Marginal cord insertion is a mistreated potential risk for

  • low birth weight,
  • preterm birth, and
  • emergency cesarean delivery.

Routine screening of marginal cord insertion should be considered in pregnancies with advanced age, nulliparity, hypertensive disorder, history of cesarean section, and intrauterine contraceptive device usage before pregnancy.

Different study  (CLICK) Conclusions: MCI is associated with increased maternal, fetal and neonatal adverse morbidities. Therefore, pregnancy with MCI should be well followed up. Moreover, the delivery should be conducted in settings where rapid intensive neonatal care can be offered.

This gets to be highly litinaginous (CLICK) – and maybe we need to accept that not all of us are in a perfect state and that during pregnancy – maybe we can improve this – whilst the baby is growing?

A marginal umbilical cord insertion occurs when the cord attaches on the side of the placenta instead of in the middle at the central placental mass. Marginal cord insertion is considered abnormal and it occurs in roughly 9 out of every 100 pregnancies.
