Heather’s birthing drawings

Welcome.. Warning

GRAPHIC (black and white graphic)

These are renderings from Turiya Bruce (no relation) in Mullumbimby, Australia

From my birth photos ..

Josh – 7lb 10 oz – 2nd baby – 7 years after first.

baby 2 – 3 days pre ‘due date . .

Natural start to labour, membranes released to ‘hurry it up’ at 5cm.
30 minutes to fully dilated .. 12 hours in total . .
90 mins pushing – finally birthed when in left lateral – squatting – not able to.
post birth massive haemorrhage – given 2 units of blood – one whole cells, one straight blood – and massive allergic reaction – hence packed in ice, then 2 x Finergen jabs then some cortisone to stop it.

Actual birth story and pics (colour)

Not sure why I am back in this position.
Squatting was NOT working to move bub down.

Only descent I could feel was when I was in left lateral position

Until I looked at this now whilst adding into this page – I thought he came that way!!
So much for memory.

I guess it was back to supported squat . .

Is why photos are so very important

Great shot of the natural baby mouth/nose drainage – from naturally being massage down the way out/down.

Skye – 3rd – nearly 3 years later.  . 8lb 2oz

5 cm dilated wandering around – no labour.
Keillands rotational forceps.

After my pushing 90 minutes.

Stuck . .

OP with brain injured baby in face presentation

All the hard work done – forceps have been in my womb, turning baby. Most of the pushing (me with contractions) is over.

Dr took the splades apart ad took her out by hand . .

She had a gentle birth.

After being slammed up against by sacrum.
