foundational moves easy

Your choice . .

You may start front or back . .

Intention – to set the Qi and the lymph flowing.

(Lose that pain and gain vitality again).

BACK

What?            Heart chakra opening
Why?             Free up the feeling centre and thus breathing and life force

What?             Stuck Liver Qi Release
Why?              Free up breathing and life force

(Optional but highly effective/comfortable)

What?              Sacral Moxa Fan
Why?              Restore all Qi/circulation through out the body

Locally – it feels amazing, and undoes all back/pelvic pain

OPTIONAL and foundational

Qi must flow – and not be tied up in ‘keeping safe’ – the stored cold (CLICK) from all of a lifetime of small cold incursions (CLICK).(See Reset Your Metabolism course)

FRONT

What?              Navel cupping
Why?              Release the stored cold

What?             Moxa on salt on ginger on navel
Why?              Rescue Yang so it can run the body

Back to foundational moves

FRONT: CHEST

What?            Chest Gouging
Why?           Liberate the breath and lymph flow

What?            Diaphragmatic release (Upper lymph)
Why?              Get the lymph/breathing and digestion flowing

FRONT: BELLY

What?            1 – Round and Round (belly perimeter)
Why?              Lymph release

What?             2 – Belly calming
Why?              Reichian/’stress’/ centred blockages to lessen
(really is also a thoracic duct release)

What?             3 – Diastasis
Why?              Holes in structure stop optimal functioning

What?             4 – Upper belly calming
Why?              Continuation of above

What?              5 – Upper lymph drainage
Why?              Get the lymph/breathing and digestion flowing

What?              6 – Lower belly calming
Why?              Restore normal flows/uterine positioning

What?              7 – Lower lymphatic drainage
Why?              Release lower pelvic congestion

In between all moves is a round perimeter – or whenever you feel to as well.
Why? Clear all that has been liberated as the lymph flow holds the key to your entire body working well.

Actual Moves: Back

  • Prelude: Gently does it
  • Warm hands
  • You may need to use more oil/massage cream with men or in a hairy area.
  • The pubic areas – needs not so much more oil but something like Tui Balm beeswax based as it pulls less on the hairs.
  • If the area is reddened, it is a good indication that you have allowed access to more blood flow in.

When working on a back
Best position to do this?

Check that they are comfy on their belly (best position to do this (so if on a woman make sure her breasts are not being squashed) – I get them to lie on a soft thin pillow placed about navel area so their back is not as arched. A rolled up towel is at shoulder level, so there is  a ‘breast valley’ to make a custom made couch for them. Easily adjusted to all shapes and sizes.

Always offer water every few moves.
This is very necessary as the lymph moving, and the Qi flowing set off the fluid balance being totally different.

1 – Heart opening:

(Can be done sitting up or lying on belly).

  • Start gently.
  • Gradually get a lot firmer.
  • This usually takes less than a minute– each move
  • Expect their skin to go red.
  • Maybe get them to take a deep breath before and then after you have done this.

2 – Stuck Liver Qi Release:

Person can be done sitting up or lying on belly.

  • This (on women) is usually very sore to begin with.
  • A lifetime of repression and smiling when not wanting to.
  • Inability to say ‘no’ and to ‘be nice’ (often for early life survival).

NOTE – you are to be rolling – please be careful not to pinch

Demonstration shows also a man who is not that ‘stuck’, so it appears a lot easier than the person you may be working on.  Start with much less skin – and often it is not possible as the are so stuck – to even lift it up.

This usually takes a few minutes – is a meditative practice for the massagee

  • It is to be gentle and a calming (though originally often very painful) way to totally alter quickly everything.
Be warned – it can hurt.
  • Brush off all that has been activated from them lightly when finished.

3 – Sacral Moxa Fan

What?             Sacral Moxa Fan
Why?              Restore all Qi/circulation through out the body

Takes no more than 3 minutes total

  • This straddling a chair (sitting facing the back of the chair) position is easiest. Make sure the person is TOTALLY protected from even the slightest breeze/draft as the pores open. (We do not want more cold seeping into them).
  • Locally – feels amazing and undoes all back/pelvic pain.
  • This is a profoundly nurturing and moving way for a person to feel more grounded/comfy.
  • MUST be done with adequate (not inside) ventilation.
    No breezes.

Use only the real (smoky) moxa stick.
Put it out by wrapping the lit end in some Al foil. Never in water.
It will make the sessions less painful and help them release more

3 – (a) Sacral opening

What?             Sacral Release/Opening
Why?              Restore all Qi/circulation through out the body, specially to the urogenital/lower back area.

Takes no more than 2 minutes – likely less.

Person can be sitting up, or lying on belly.

(Part 1)

Undoing the sacral chakra/energy centre.
Whatever is more comfy for you

I find I always go clockwise – you may have a different system.

Immediately after this follows:

3 – (b) Sacral rolling

What?              Sacral Rolling
Why?              Restore all Qi/circulation
(as above)

Person can be sitting, or lying on belly. Standing and leaning back is easier if doing this for yourself.

Takes no more than 2 minutes – likely less

(Part 2)

With almost no oil on your sacrum to be worked on
And almost none on you (may need to rub all off)

Grab skin at the bottom of the sacrum and roll it between your fingers
(See elsewhere for instructions).
Start at the mid line and then do the other sides

x3 each move

In between – flat palm on waist/middle of back and gently jiggle – usually in deeper than on front.

Front

(Ideally you have already done the Stuck Liver Qi Release and Heart Opening)
May choose to lightly chest gouge before starting on the belly.)

We will get to the belly – BUT the flows that supporting it must be flowing first . .CHECKGet everyone to do a perineal pull-up first so they can be amazed at the difference they can make for themselves – so simply!

If you ask them to check in with this all through this work, you can get an appreciation that the lymph flow does so much – to hinder – or to relieve all else that is apparently ‘going wrong’.

Chest:

What?           Chest Gouging
Why?             Liberate the breath and thus the lymph flow
How?             Gently at first – shallow – getting gradually deeper as you go along
Start with at least 3 moves on one side, then even up with the other.

Takes no more than 2 minutes – likely less

Be aware that they may be totally different. No forcing. Gentle it better.

        x 3 each

x 3 each

Working in between each rib – a finger in each space.

Start gently and get gradually deeper.

Always slow.

Always tail off the pressure at the edges.

Final step

Drain all that has been shifted/accumulated

down the left hand side       x 3 each

Diaphragm

Takes 5 minutes possibly – slow is the key

Position – MUST be lying down, possibly with knees up with flat soles

What?              Diaphragmatic release (Upper lymph)
Why?              Get the lymph/breathing and digestion flowing
How?              Order . .  may start with the back moves, so the Qi is not as blocked . .

Start with the left hand side always

Always begin feather touch

Become consciously shallower as you get to their sides.

x 3 each

Belly:

Position – MUST be lying down, possibly with knees up with flat soles

This is the most crucial move – if nothing else happens – do this
Can be through the clothes.

Takes no more than 2 minutes – likely less

Always clockwise

Takes 5 minutes possibly – slow is the key

1 – Perimeter

What?              Round and Round (belly boundary)
Why?              Lymph release
How?              Very gently – the pads of the fingertips – not much pressure – gradually can increase a little.

Coconut oil is best. Always warn hands. (Hold a cup of hot water and warm yourself up first if you need to)

x 9 (Alternate view)

Always another one of the perimeter circuits in between each change of move – will appear as

(1 x ‘Round and Round’)

2 – Belly Calming

What?              Upper belly calming
Why?              Continuation of above
How?               Even more gently.

Takes 2 minutes maybe – slow is the key

Lift the palm up – this is almost not touching the skin.

Keep ‘just there’ contact on skin,

Use more oil on

‘Barely there’ pressure.

x 9 (1 x ‘Round and Round’)

3 – Diastasis Repair

What?           Diastasis (means separation’)
Why?            Holes in structure stop optimal functioning
How?            Feather touch initially

Takes 5 minutes altogether – slow is the key

  • This may or may not be present.
  • To discover – (you lying on a flat surface, lift your shoulders up).
  • Often it is ‘just a hole that your fingers can fall into
  • Or a small depression you can lie a finger in.
  • Often a large ridge is visible – you have a total problem
  • (Can be seen in larger bellied men – is why it is so lacking in any tone and is ‘hanging out’).

Not good.

How?             Feather touch initially

(Part 1)

With both of your index and middle fingers,

Very light pad pressure,

Draw a squiggly line towards the end of your split.

It may be all the way down  and may be only beneath your navel – or any combination

(Part 2)

With the edges of your hands (sides of)

Aim to create a ‘J’ move

Squishing the belly ‘halves’ lightly together.

Please remember – It may be all the way down and may be only beneath your navel – or any combination. This took a while to happen – or may have appeared instantly – whatever it is not speedy to fix.

(Part 3)

With the edges of your hands (sides of)

‘Squish’ the two sides of your belly together

(1 x ‘Round and Round’).

If you do NOT have a diastasis:

  • The ‘M’ move (coming) is not comfortable.
  • There may be adhesions that need attending to  along the aorta.
  • Thus releasing better blood flow gets through to your lower body.
  • These will shed as you do this over time – or you may feel it alter immediately.
Go to the edge of pain without damaging yourself – you be the guide – courageous cautiously!

4 – Upper Lymph drainage

(repeat as the ‘diaphragm’ move above)

What?            Upper lymph drainage
Why?              Get the lymph/breathing and digestion flowing
How?               Also see above

Takes 5 minutes – deliberate and slow is the key

You can gradually become a little deeper as the body undoes itself.

(As before)

Start with the left hand side always

Become consciously more shallow as you get to the sides.

x 3 each

(1 x ‘Round and Round’)

5 – Lymph unblocking – left thoracic duct release

What?            Reichian unblocking/Lymph settling
Why?              Continuation of above
How?           Start very gently – you can even do this all over the skin

Takes 5 minutes – with the out breath, and very slow is the key

Use the side of your whole thumb (hand on its edge)

  • One set is 3 moves of each. (30 in total – 3 of each in set
  • 3 sets and repeat the downward portion – last time again).
  • As you breathe out. .
  • Start down the mid-line to navel
  • Left side next

Right side and repeat 2x more finishing with the another 3 to the navel from the mid-line

Round and round x 1

6 – ‘Lower belly calming‘

What?             Lower belly calming
Why?              Release lower pelvic congestion
How?              As above

Takes 5 minutes – very gentle, just touching the skin, deliberate and very slow is the key
Get them to do a perineal pull-up to start with and then see how it feels at the end . .

Only to the level of the hips.

As with the upper body moves

Start at the bottom (resting your fingers or the side of your hand very gently scoop up the centre line to half way and repeat x2 more.

Start from under the inner hip bones

Round and round x 1

7 – Lower lymphatic drainage

What?              Lower lymphatic drainage
Why?              Release lower pelvic congestion

How?              Mindfully – soft to start with and slow

Takes a few minutes

Always gently.

One side can be very different to the other.
(Do not assume)

One side at a time.
Complete the movement with (as always)

Round and round x 1

Finishing up: Gratitude

Gently

Give your belly a hug

Your belly/body has always been there for you!

Takes as long as you like

What next?

Breathe in peace, breathe out peace

Breathe in love, breathe out love

Rest
