MOVES – WHAT WHERE WHEN HOW WHY

1 – Pelvic opening

From here (CLICK)       What Dads Can Do I designed this work to allow couples to do for themselves. To be happier and excited about all body changes.

The basic tenets of the Gentling Way (freeSTUCK). . .

  • 1 – Structure Determines Function – when in alignment as designed can happen. All body work to be breath based: letting go
  • 2 – Energy Follows Thought – Qi goes as directed (as you believe, so it is) Kinesiology, and all others
  • 3 – Body remembers everything that ever happened to it – We have no idea what may be released. Reichian , Inona Marsha Teegraden and Jin Shin Do
  • 4  – Flows have to flow – 5 flows – Qi, Blood (red – arterial, blue – venous and clear- lymph) Nerves Every modality knows
  • 5 – Bodies heal themselves (when what is blocking healing is undone) Every modality knows

Add in cupping cold from navel and we have Move Your Qi challenge.

Circulation

1 – Stuck Liver Qi Release

  • What it is A way to release upper to lower body tension, and all that holds the breath, the fluids, the body structure STUCK. More on Stuck Liver Qi here (CLICK). The massage and how/why here.
  • Origin Rolfing maybe. (I was under the care of a rolfer (10 consecutive sessions in my early 20’s). Instead of massage, I designed this as a way to clam and generally make it easier for myself to work out what to do with whoever walked into the clinic. By taking away the top layers of distress, relating through touch, The way would be clear – and as well – the primal need for connection were assuaged.
  • Why it is The Liver energy when not flowing holds the entire being hostage. When we feel upset, or we feel anything and do not express it – we block flows of Qi and everything n the body becomes constrained – can’t work as flows the=at should be are blocked. However lightly, this compounds quickly.
  • How to do it
  • Starting gently – with warm hands, with the person aware that this si deeply relaxing – BUT may initially be tricky if they have bound themselves up in a big knot. Much like a tangle of wool – gently and patiently does it.
  • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers Totally depends on how tightly they are wound up
  • When to useOn everyone. Usually at the beginning s this frees all else. Allows you to work instantly deeper with less hassle. You can return to this at various times in the session as it is a great undoer.
  • When not to use – If the person can’t stand touch. Even then – to unlock is it free the body and what is holding it all in a stuck pattern.
  • What to do to set it up to win – Get them comfy. You start slowly and gently – as they unwind you can go deeper. NEVER speedy. The slower and more meditatively – you can get into a rocking , very slow dance with your whole body. Always move away from your body – you MUST go to the opposite side – not work towards you, This is a totally different and weird way when you have completed the ‘away’ move.

2 – Sacral Moxa Fan

  • What it is A quick, easy and effective way to get all the body happier – warmer, and flowing.
  • Origin – Life in clinic – I worked out how to give people homework – to lessen all I had to do
  • Why it is Moxa is magic.  It is vibrational ‘medicine’ – not only heat- very penetrating. Apparently the infra red ‘wattage’ of the sun is replicated.
  • How to do it Hold the stick ALWAYS away from the skin – is to NEVER touch it. Use your other finger as a ‘spacer’ so there is always a gap between the moxa stick and their body. Please follow the explicit video instructions.
  • What it may feel like – for them They should feel instantly relaxed/calmed. Often they report a running warm water sensation down their legs – or a warmness spreading – often into their belly. Great release.
  • When to use
  • At the beginning of whatever you are doing – or the SLQR. Sets them up to receive and makes sure nothing hurts as it otherwise may have – takes off the first layers of STUCK easily.
  • When not to use – If they are suffering from great anger/somewhat affected by anything to upset their Shen, if there is a skin lesion – rashes in the area – or if they are not feelings safe when you do this – or if allergic to moxa smoke.
  • What to do to set it up to win – Get set up so all is easy – warm drinking water and ensure no draughts.Must not be hungry. Take a protein/salty/fatty snack – not sweet. Moxa is inclined to ‘space’ you out at the best of times.

    3 – Lymphatic drainage

    • What it is A way to easily move what can clog up the system
    • Origin –  ?? I learned in the acupuncture class in 1977 – from the lecturer who was also a chiropractor.
    • Why it is Damp – from an acupuncture model – what is obstructing flows – wastes – not moved on – create havoc.
    • How to do it Using the pads of your fingers – not the tips, warm hands, gently move down and towards the sides of the body – under the ribs, starting in the mid line – and from the pubic bone OUT to the sides – also across the chest to the intervertebral spaces – always shallow to begin with and gradually getting deeper slower the better.
Always start gently, slowly and watching the persons’s face, taking cues from whether it is too distressing or relaxing.
    • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers Sometimes toothpaste. Occasionally somewhat thick – and even lumpy. Gently does it
    • When to useOn everyone – at the beginning (very gently as a checking move and as you go onto more clearing – often ending with this.
    • When not to use – Always needed. If someone is concerned as they have been told/learned that lymphatic massage is inappropriate – go back to basics – flows MUST flow. By allowing blockage, you are fostering dis ease and the rubbish MUST move through.
  • What to do to set it up to win –  Always offer water (tepid ideally) to sip as you go. Ensure that they are comfy (soft belly, by elevating the knees – pillows used whether lying on their back, or on their fronts whilst you work on them.
  • I remind you that this has been lifted from my 2005 work – Massage What Dads Can Do.
(See the 1 1/4 hour presentation at the beginning of this page.
All of this work is appropriate for all at any age or stage of life/disease.We are encouraging flows to return to normal – homeostasis.

4 – Sacral wakeups

  • What it is a way to get all the flows in the body moving quickly.
  • Origin My decades of working with women who were usually sedentary, upset (carrying vast amounts of angst, often from their very tender ages/beginnings of being female in this place).
  • Why it is bodies remember all that has happened to them. They (especially when female/trained to be ‘nice’) hold it all ‘in’ /’for later’ – creating massive life dramas to be redefined as ‘medical’ conditions  all because their Liver Qi and flows were NOT flowing. .
  • How to do it Start with warm hands firm yet gentle and gradually go in deeper. ALWAYS slow.
  • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers Totally variable – our intention is always to open/loosen and liberate the body and its flows. Freedom.
  • When to useWe do not start here – as it is too invasive. Clearing work needs to have been done first. (See below).
  • When not to use – Depending in the depth you are working at – even if someone is in great pain (especially when) you can use – after the setting up has been done well.

What to do to set it up to win – Start with the SLQR and if possible the sacral moxa fan.

4 – Reconnecting

We cover:

  • P.V. (see the P.A.C.E. page)
    • What it is A way to undo stored shock in the entire system
    • Origin? – Any kineiosologist may know – for me Gilly Johnson (CLICK)
    • Also see Contact Care (CLICK) NZ only
    • Why it is We flinch and lock (see here) when anything untoward happens – locking us into a freeze state that affects a life till released
    • How to do it – Can be lying down – I usually do for the first time – but anyone can do this anywhere. All that is needed is the right process. Drink some water. They check first – head side to side. Keeping head central, move eyes to the extreme right. Hold them there till they feel to take a deep breath, a sigh or a swallow. Move eyes back to central, then to the extreme left. Repeat. Move eyes back to central and check out the range of movement/comfort of side to side head movement now.
    • When to use – For anyone – to do at home many times a time. In a session – start here.
    • When not to use – No indications – unless possibly if they are fitting/seizing randomly – but again – this may correct that.
  • What to do to set it up to win Ensure you explain yourself fully. Nothing can go wrong. All they are doing is moving their eyes in their heads.

  • P.A.C.E (CLICK).
    • What it is – a way to centre yourself, by aligning the hemispheres of the brain to life
    • Origin – Any kineiosologist – for me (and helping my children’s issues for over 33 years)  it was – Gilly Johnson (CLICK)
    • Why it is – Get a person to be clearer and more in tune with themselves
    • How to do it – Go through the motions as on the page
    • What it may feel like –  Very unsettling if/when you discover that you are NOT able to do one of these very simple things. Usually the cross crawling, though some are so unbalanced that having feet switched means they fall over.
    • When to use – At the very beginning of the session and definitely prior to the Accident Recall (below)
    • When not to use – if not with the ‘patient’ you do need a surrogate who is clear to do at least the ankles with – below.
  • What to do to set it up to win – Water at the beginning and end of this

  • What it is – A way to undo what has been locked away in the neck/spinal cord – maybe since their birth (I am thinking of all the twisted necks I witnessed at birth when doctors (not midwives so much ) hurried the natural exit as the corkscrewing happens to negotiate the maternal pelvic bones.
  • Origin? – I learned from Gilly Johnson (CLICK)
  • Why it is – Nothing will actually be fully released until we clear the shock/STUCK in the cells/channels.
  • How to do it – Look after yourself first – this is quite brutal on your wrists, and you must be one properly to have the effect. I always wear Chinese plasters to do this as often (besides the weight of the head), there is significant resistance (not conscious) til they let go.
  • It is vastly easier to have some one to help – sometimes two. All need to have been cleared first – this is a massive shift for many.
  • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers – After the initial holding pattern, you may feel a ‘give’ when it becomes very easy. Until another significant black and it may become almost impossible to shift their head – again – until it lets go.
  • When to use For everyone – always start checking the ankles – even if you had doe this last time. All of us are at least holding heart break, grief, rage and fear.  These as well as the physical issues that have been stuck may create barriers to flow.
  • When not to useDo be cautious. Even when ether significant neck damage I have used this. It will rescue them. Often when nothing else has.
  • What to do to set it up to win – Show them the footage on the link above. We are not as brutal/being a showman as he is. Make sure that they know that this is surprising.

Belly

  • Diastasis (CLICK)
    • What it is – separation in the muscle groupings in the belly
    • Origin? – (of the work) I was made aware of this partially studying belly work in ATMAT and general
    • Why it is – a lack of connective tissue integrity. NOT only from pregnancy – I have seen in many small children. It is very obvious in out of shape men.
    • How to do it – if it is there – be aware that it CAN be fixed – and must be constant vigilance on NOT planking/getting up from lying down as in a ‘crunch’ as this may engender more destruction.
Some diastasis fix themselves naturally – here we are assisting by NOT continuing making it happen.
    • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers – can vary – sometimes a dint – sometimes like falling off a continental shelf.
    • When to use – if you can – on  everyone to encourage reconnecting the two sides of the body. Almost never see someone intact. Is getting far worse (See my comments on the cement post below)
    • When not to use – Needs to be reconnected. This is severely underestimated as  a cause/problem.
    • What to do to set it up to win – always get them to do a perineal pull up first – to gauge how much more they are able to do afterwards.

  • Cement Post (See below)
  • What it is – a way to free the adhesions on the aorta. Circulation of all arterial blood, down to the lower body (and pelvis) FREE
  • Origin? – Don Elijo Panti – from the Maya work
  • Why it is – Life (even lack of fluids) will create loss of fluidity, leading to adhesions that then block up the body’s flows.
  • How to do it – cautiously – ensure there is no diastasis under your ministrations.  Begin in the centre, just under the zyphoid bone. Applying comfortable pressure initially, gently and very slowly move in a zig zag direction down the centre line – about an inch each side of it (width of your movement). Come up gentler – and repeat.  Work each move gradually in deeper, downwards first coming up again gently. Each move, going deeper down, alternating zag, if you started with a zig. Times 3
  • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers – initially, stuck, so maybe nothing. Eventually the ‘cement post’ will be revealed. Get them to do a pull up before and after – they will be amazed.
  • When to use – on everyone if you can – however little  possible. It may be that you are only going down the body an inch – it is still totally worthwhile. MUST get them to do a pull up before and after so they can feel the incredible change.
  • When not to use
  • 1 – If the diastasis is entirely up to the sternum.
  • 2 – Possible be careful if past surgeries – the removal/bypassing of a stomach – or if there is massive scar tissue there – start with castor oil packs as the main healer (and wave moxa over it)
  • 3 – When pregnant (never over the full womb – BUT even if there is half cm  please do (at the top only).

A moderated version of this Zig-Zag move is needed as its effects are so important. Even if you only do an inch/ cm – it will free up so much blood flow to the lower body (especially the pelvis). – even when only a tiny amount (especially in later pregnancy) it is often astonishing. Flow is instantly corrected through the aorta

What to do to set it up to win – this is NOT a beginning move and you may have completed a few SLQR and belly work to loosen this area – what is attacking the Spleen energy – first. Finish as always with round and round and some gentling jiggles.

Adhesion Breaking (CLICK)

  • What it is – a way to unglue
  • Origin? – Dr John Velthiem [chiropractor] (my acupuncture lecturer 1977-78)
  • Why it is – sliding and gliding is impeded when tissue glues itself to others.
  • How to do it – not a beginning move – set it up to win. Minor amount of oil – we must not RIP the skin – but must get the tug/fast slash happening  I do it x2 – first is  a warning and next I do it.
  • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers. – Nothing much – but it  can be revolutionary (Patti’s belly (CLICK))
  • When to use.  Always there is a scar – however small – and often – going slightly deeper each time.
  • When not to use – when there is an active wound infection /unhealed yet.

What to do to set it up to win – warn them, have all other work done, and do various directions – typically above, below the scar then across the top of it.

  • What it is – often it is NOT the actual hernia and diaphragmatic invasion that is the issue – but a constant state of being where it s no to b e- rage will do this – and then the SLQR makes even more sense to all cases. We are what is stuck – ‘stress’ . . .
  • Origin?Dr John Velthiem [chiropractor] (my acupuncture lecturer 1977-78)
  • Why it is
  • How to do it – As on the page above  respectfully and walk them through each step before and during the session. It is a surprise – and if needed/performed well – it is a blessing – as all of a sudden they can breathe – they feel free, they feel lighter – and of course – can live easier in their body.
  • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers – .
  • When to use – When the point on the Left (Lu 10) is a lot sorer than the one on the left. Also if they have symptoms as on the page above. Often check this, then do the Ileo cecal valve correction – and recheck  if it needed doing before, I would still do it now.
  • When not to use – If they are in distress about you being in the area – maybe as they have had surgery there .
  • What to do to set it up to win – Ideally have eaten a largish meal in the past 30 minutes – not so useful on an  empty stomach.

  • Ileo Cecal valve corrections (CLICK)
    • What it is – A way to completely alter the state of digestion/belly comfort
    • Origin? – Dr John Velthiem [chiropractor] (my acupuncture lecturer 1977-78)
    • Why it is – The junction small-large intestine and be stuck open – or in a state of paralysis
    • How to do it – Quickly – and after a lot of belly work – you do not go straight to here
    • What it may feel like – this is a sudden move. Nothing gentle about the execution. When needed it is a revelation to them – as is the peritoneal untangler. . .which you may do pror to this also – or after.
    • When to use – If it is needed – check the muscle leg test – suspect it when the HH Correction is needed (Lu 10) also if they experience gurgling  especially at night – in the region, or suffer from any gut disturbance- here we have the Liver Qi Stuck all over again – ‘stress’ ..
    • When not to use – If there is active infection there.
  • What to do to set it up to win –  Do the scar adhesion work first and also sacral work, lymphatic drainage  as we want to set them up to win. Warn them -This is violent, a big surprise – has to be done this way to work.
Will need to do jiggling at least for a while (after the round and round to clear what you have moved).

    • What it is – a way to straighten the sheath of fascia/(imagine a tough sheet of plastic) covering all viscera
    • Origin? Don Elijo Panti – Belize
    • Why it is – life gets us all in a tangle – we need to unwind . .
    • What to expect (what are you liberating)? Anything – it is a very gentle yet profound surprise for many. Start gentle.
    • How to do it under a sarong/wrap. This is done gently, firmly and has a sudden ending. Do warn them – not painful but it can be a surprise.  Need right amount of lube – I use my gouging cream. Not coconut or oil. Flatten hand and place the palm lightly, but firmly on the belly, index finger in the navel. Heel of palm will be on pubic bone. Move underwear down out of the way. Press deeper – not heavy though – and bunch up palm, to hold some of the sarong and likely skin and twist gradually to 90 degrees. Hold a second and let go forcefully. A sudden release – UP.
    • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers need  get the right amount under your hand. Can feel it slipping and it is odd – when done well – the person feels all sorts of things – is individual. Often it is a huge relief. Sometimes they feel it in neck . .or anywhere you have not been – on their trunk. Or maybe do not notice – but their complexion or pull up is very different.
    • When to use – at the end of the belly work – prior to getting into the deeper moves. Must have done at least one lot of back moves – SLQR, MSF and the sacral wakeups. . the body has to be ready/lossened up enough.
    • When not to use 1 – not in pregnancy unless really early on  and even them – not sure. Baby is in the front and all you would want to be doing is underneath. 2 – Be practicalnot if the skin is damaged/scars are in the way – unless a lot of adhesion breaking and castor oil packs have done their work. 3 – If massive diastasis (like Patti) Or even a smallish one that is gaping or very deep. 4 – Take out body jewellery if they have a bottom navel ring.
    • What to do to set it up to win they must be happily soothed and open to possibilities.

What it is – the central waste disposal system clearer – all we do is based upon moving fluids about

      • Origin? –  Dr John Velthiem [chiropractor] (my acupuncture lecturer 1977-78)
      • Why it is – FIVE FLOWS HAVE TO FLOW
      • How to do it – gently and shallow start first- with the breath
      • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers – occasionally as toothpaste – sometimes you can feel lumps
      • When to use – always. As a straight’ acupuncturists – all sessions started and finished with me doing this as a matter of course – whilst needles were in – there was me touching – invariably moving lymph.
      • When not to use – can’t think of any time – when people have been told that they are not to have massage – esp lymph work – please explain that flows must flow. The reason that they are in the mess that they are is because they have left flowing out of their lives – more water must be drunk, more minerals in and more gentle touch – as all is designed to live in a body (SLQR all over again – and more magnesium needed).

    • Prostate drainage (CLICK)

      • What it is – essential clearance of the life time of congestion in the lower abdomen of all men.
      • Origin? Dr John Velthiem [chiropractor] (my acupuncture lecturer 1977-78)
      • Why it is – The body stores everything that has ever happened to it – knocks, hits, also as his womb – all that upsets a woman’s  one – corrupts the easy flows there – including sitting all day, being slothful, having surgeries – hernias, undescended testicles, testicular torsions, and assorted lower abdo surgery – appendix, bladder and any hit in the sacral/lumbar regions – as with women – will disorder flows to the Dai and also Bao Mai.
      • How to do it – slowly and with respect – the moves are on the separate page. Prostate drainage (CLICK).
      • 1 – MUST start with right hand side as almost all men are more clogged up on the left.
      • 2 – Must also assume the invasion they feel is a first time and they may be very distressed – some OK – some very not. Be careful – as it is a totally new experience.
      • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers. – as with the beginning moves in lymphatic drainage – please read that first
      • When to use – for all men regardless of what hey came in for – a must for all neck and upper body/back messes – Mirror X.
      • When not to use – the obvious – straight after surgery – but even then – I would be doing the lymphatic and sacral and all else leading into as well as the above body if needs be. Imperative that flows flow.

What to do to set it up to win

MUST do all that preceeds that first – at least the moxa sacral fan and the lower gentling belly and sacral moves.

    • Grandma cuddles (CLICK)
      • What it isA settling technique that allows them the space to consolidate Also for more to come up.
      • Origin – life – all know – we are primates. At some point we all need to be touched. comforted – when hurt/distressed – the baby/child within may be=need to be integrated from whence it splintered off.
      • Why it is – Actively encouraging change – often unexpected hunks of the iceberg break off. We do have the Reichian armour bands – shut down feeling – why it was all so scarey to be self – and to be vulnerable has been shut down. Peeling off the layers leaves vulnerability – and we have tools (Kaliana’s nourishing/welcome newborn) to assist – they may now see life through very different eyes.
      • How to do it Roll them on their left side. Get them scrunched up as much as possible so their body is as fetal as you can make it. Your hand lightly touches their crown – and your right hand – their soles of feet. You are nestle d into them and they are under a warm wrap. Use your body to very slightly rock. Hardly any movement. Get them to breath slowly and deeply into their belly . Your head is right here. They will hopefully get more distressed – keep it going  Tissues can mop up later. Expect anything. Eventual peace.
      • What it may feel like – A great relief – for the room and all in it. You get to rest – stretch out /up your back (arch) and deeply breathe in slowly and gently to model to them yourself. They are likely to go into a deep state of being. To come out of this, you very gradually exit your pressure of your body on theirs and slowly withdraw your touch – leaving them after a light yet firm continuance of the gentle rocking in their hips. If this is cocomplished well – they may stay there thinking that you are still there for some time. Peace reigns again.
      • When to use – Whenever you see/feel that the issues percolating are too much – and they need a break to integrate – and to acknowledge that this is big.
      • When not to use You are there – you get to say who with and how you work. . Maybe if there is a sexual possibility as the guy transfers from the wounded child to the predator?
      • What to do to set it up to win – Follow guide lines above – woman to woman or woman to man . . a lot easier – not sure how the average guy is going to NOT be in trouble with this. Possibly less contact and more gentle rocking.

Leg Shake (end of belly work)

Can do whenever – is here as a delineator between usual self belly as this and perineal need someone else to do this.

    • What it is – a way to get the lymph to move and encourage the viscera to remember where to be
    • Origin? – Maya work training – part of the anterior work
    • Why it is – Gentling return to design
    • How to do it – Go to the feet, and gently pick up left foot as shown. Lean back, using your weight, gently shake.
    • What it may feel like – for them – odd as their ‘jelly belly’ will wobble – that is the intention
    • When to use – if they have had recent ankle, hip or knee surgery – may need to be super careful
    • When not to use – With caution should be fine with all.

    Back

    • Sacral work (CLICK)
(Plus more of the Foundational Moves to loosen off what is left).
    • Settling down/ grounding to leave (below).

    Settling

    • Anxiety Thread Moxa (CLICK)
    • What it is – a way to quickly undo the overwhelming (and often supposedly permanent ‘fight or flight’ responses held in the entire body.
    • Origin? – Moxa master 2008 – 3 day workshop (Japanese)
    • Why it is – An insomnia point in acupuncture – using moxa draws the energy down from the head
    • How to do it – As shown in the videos. MUST use the very fine gold moxa, and the tiny incense (‘joss’ ) sticks. Ste yourself up with water, having eaten (using moxa is a very ‘spacing out’ thing to do if at all in a state of need yourself. You have no idea how long you will be there – s have been to loo and make all around you safe before you start. Have water (and straws) to offer them. Keep them warm. It is possible to send this home with people – you trust – to complete as it needs doing until it is NOT needed. The first session may take up to an hour – unlikely- but possible.
Make sure the PV and Accident Recall and any other settling the scene obvious work is also done.
    • What it may feel like – when needed – heaven. They may fall asleep. Keep going until after alternate heels with 2 and 3 peaks of heat, going back to the previously registering ‘hot’ one is then always hot – every time. Unless they are getting tense – the no-more-needed’ has to be clear after small breaks of no heat.
    • When to use – often to rule its need out. When they are always anxious/not really present
    • When not to use – if it is instantly hot/painful.

      • What to do to set it up to win Ensure that you are all comfortable and that you have shown them footage and the bit and how you are doing this first – as we do not need to frighten them. Warn there will eventually be a hot sensation – and they will NOT be burnt.

      • Brazilian toe technique (rebalancing) (CLICK)
      • What it is – a rebalancing technique.
      • Origin? – ??Reichian workshop 1977
      • Why it is – The energies of the reflexology are one way – here is another to work on the energy flows we are governed by.
      • How to do it – very respectful and gently – almost not touching their skin.
      • What it may feel like – feather touch
      • When to use – often when someone is recovering from being very upset and needs to be settled. Or if you can’t do anything else – they are so touchy’/’nervey’/distressed.
      • When not to use – if they can’t (for whatever reason)  lie down.

      Hippy Shake (CLICK)

      • What it is – a way to let go – gently
      • Origin? – Mexican? Belizean? Guatemalan? I am sorry she has no name. From the Arvigo work initially
      • Why it is – We can get too caught up on ‘the moves’ – this is a way to be with – and to take a break in between ‘fixers’
      • How to do it – a gentling technique if gentle – a vigorous one if you want to shake that baby into a better spot – depends.
      • What it may feel like – easy – use all your own body – is not a strenuous exercise. For them? Lovely – when/if relaxed.
      • When to use – in the midst of the back/pelvic work – it can be a soother/settling move. Like shaking apples off a tree.
      • When not to use – You will have to work it out. Very gently – or use a rebozo – same idea – shakey shakey – ad all residual tension can’t stay there.
      • What to do to set it up to win – have them super relaxed, so they are not worried about what you are doing – maybe lean into them and thus they have much contact with your body – gentle start and finish . . let them relax into it.

Ovarian Whirlpool CHECKER/eventually a correcter [FIXER]

      See more here (CLICK)

      • What it is A deepened attack at 90 degrees to sort out all that is blocking circulation in and out of the ovaries.
      • For men this can be an immensely revitalising experience as often the left side (where the testicle started) is all congested – try not to mess with ‘tubes’ if you find any.
      • Origin? – Dr Jennifer Mercier
      • Why it is – so little exercise and actual deep work happens in this regions – and so many are sedentary and not allowing lymph to flow naturally – seat belt injuries, tight clothes, seated most of the day
      • What to expect (what are you liberating)?
      • How to do it Acc to Dr Mercier – Once you feel that you’ve sufficiently warmed the tissue than you’ll need to find the ovaries. Once the ovaries are palpable massage each of them separately in a clockwise motion 10 times each side.
Work deeply. The goal of the work here is to ” re-awaken” the blood flow to each ovary. Also, when
you’re working the ovary itself you’re influencing the suspensory and utero-ovarian ligaments to loosen
their tensions. Use circular sweeping motion to influence the relaxation of your client and also to help
remove excess lymph that may have collected.

      • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers.
      • When to use. As with all here – in sequence – initially to assess – gently – how much ‘give; you have then go in a lot deeper . .and get stuck in – only after the other tools- steaming/noxa sacral fan/lots of back and belly/lymph have been achieved.
      • When not to use – If painful = or you are in doubt

What to do to set it up to win: – use as check in

As you go through the layers, in time – they will feel how much you are moving.

Always do a ’round and round’ after and a settle.

      Uterine RakeCHECKER/eventually FIXER

      See more here (CLICK)

      • What it is – A very deep raking move that allows the body to find what it got used to.
      • Origin? – Dr Jennifer Mercier
      • Why it is – “With each raking movement you are shortening the utero-sacral ligament to enable a lessening in tension and restriction”.
      • What to expect (what are you liberating)?
      • How to do it – “Find the uterus. Start with your finger tips in the center of the pubic bone and pull superiorly off into the lower pelvis. You’ll be able to access the top of the uterus. Place your fingers back on the pubic bone and continually “rake” the uterus deeply and slowly 15 times. This is a very deep manipulation and can be uncomfortable for many women so go supremely slowly. If your client’s bladder seems full than have her go empty so she is more comfortable”.
      • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers.
      • When to use – as a CHECKER.to see how stuck it is and to show the recipient of care that you are doing amazing things – on their back and all over – when you come back to play there again. As a FIXER – magic as a part of the system PLUS – can be used nightly by the person – after some generalised belly work – ideally also with the sacral on self first . . Really helps all back issues – see above as (why it works).
      • When not to use – I have done this extensively in stage  prostate cancer – and we LOST THE CANCER  it was as big as a 5 month pregnancy  and eventually we could not find it. This move was wonderful as part of all the other.
      • What to do to set it up to win – 1)- MUST empty bladder first as all of this work helps peeing – so even if only 30 minutes ago = go again.  2) – steaming – ideally loosen up first, 3) – Sacral and empty gentle belly work – esp the peritoneal untangler PLUS pricklies as you can . . 4) – magnesium on them as they may tense up. 5 ) – Castor oil pack afterwards.

      Leg for walkFIXER

A page in this and how to set up here (CLICK)

      • What it is – a way to unhinge all the stuck ligaments/trapped lymph also – when you do this in the midst of all else – do not start here.
      • Origin? – Dr Jennifer Mercier
      • Why it is – so easy to get so stuck as this is the gall bladder meridian and the resentment we all carry is phenomenal.
      • What to expect  – often deep resistance – so you get to think and act creatively. Must start slowly and very superficially on women as they carry almost all their inner accounting here. Can be really a game changer – as this usually then kicks up all they have been hiding – hence we are NOT starting here. Maybe tears, rage, all sorts – or deeply relaxing. Be warned – must come back to do this many times in session – as with the SLQR and so many other moves – is all why it works so well – we go through layers, and they MUST be led with breath and with hydrating – and fed when needed and of course – all the vibrational work done.
      • How to do it – They are up against your body – right on the edge of the table. You are going to take their leg for a walk – and in ONE plane – not lifting it also – straight back – most important. Warn them of what is happening – and to let go . . can’t force this. If too stuck – go back to this – after more massage, get them up to GB bash, steam, needle – whatever . . Take a breath. Working hand starts on the edge of the hip.
        • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers – If it is far too rigid – stop and fix that first – how ever you can.
        • When to use – to loosen off so the eventual womb work may happen.
        • When not to use – If in pain. IS A MUST otherwise. . and fix why they are in pain.
        • What to do to set it up to win – lots of GB meridian work first . .

        Glut Slide – SOOTHER/FIXER

A page is here on this also here (CLICK)

        • What it is – an initially gentle ride down the GB channel – at the pelvic level.
        • Get gradually deeper – always incredibly SLOW
        • Origin? – Dr Jennifer Mercier.
        • Why it is – holding tensio so very well stops all attempt so assist resolution. Especially in the emotionaal level.
        • What to expect (what are you liberating)?
        • How to do it – use KNUCKLES fist over fist warming technique on the gluteal muscles and relieve
trigger points as you find them. (H says – Going down the hip/butt to the table – feather light first as
you have no idea what they have stored there – and one side may be totally different from
the other). This is the area GB 30 – add in all points and do a whole section on second run
back yin points first – as we are able to – maybe at end of this and in GV1 .
From other side – do many lines – all only on the sides – not too much to the front or on bum
        • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers – all of us are different. Often it is soft and squishy 0r sometimes ropy and all in between.
        • When to use – on anyone – not instantly – again this is a mid move
        • When not to use – if the person is really pissed off – this is likely all held here. SLQR all over again . .

What to do to set it up to win – we can do all the Pelvic Opening and the Foundational Moves work first – this is advanced.

        Sacral smashFIXER

        See more here (CLICK)

        • What it is – Pressing hard down on the sacrum 3 minutes
        • Origin? – Dr Jennifer Mercier – her instructions Place one hand over another on the sacrum and give firm pressure. This maneuver will help shorten the utero-sacral and sacro-spinous ligaments releasing any tension in the lower back. Hold for about 3 minutes. Make certain that the table is low enough for you to get the leverage that is needed for this manipulation. Very important to stay totally stationary whilst this happens.
        • Why it is – Seems to fix everything – if you set it up first. See above.
        • What to expect (what are you liberating)? 45 – 60 seconds in – ask how their mid/upper back is – usually it lets go.
        • How to do it – See above.
        • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers. Be careful on yourself as this a long time to hold down with all your weight – must get your fingers happy first – and be comfy. Pay attention to what you can feel – sometimes you may hear a crack – you are not breaking them.
        • When to use – After a lot of glut and sacral work – preferably a steam or /and moxa sacral fan work first.
        • When not to use – 1 – If it doesn’t feel right for whatever reason – you are there – you make all these calls (judiciously) 2 – When pregnant – unless at the very end of pregnancy (major part of the opening baby gate. 3 – If the sacrum is somehow broken recently is too sore 4 -If the pressure causes any other problem/increases other issues
        • What to do to set it up to win – Loosen off all the Gall Bladder canal areas – more glut slides. sacral work before you do this and maybe – depending on the person – you may have done the leg for walk first – depends. . Make sure they are comfy – be aware of men’s genital s being smashed also into the couch/table.

          Under bum FIXER

        • See more here (CLICK)
        • What it is – a way to loosen all ligaments that are in the vicinity. –
        • Origin? – Dr Jennifer Mercier: find the ischial tuberosity. This is an area of protection for most so be
mindful of the structure surrounding the “sitz bones”. With this manipulation you are contacting the
sacro-tuberous ligament and encouraging it to shorten which will then cause the pelvic floor and
          sacrum to relax.
        • Why it is – so much is attached to (and held in) the pelvic areacan be stunning release – and go in slow and hold deeply – for at least a slow count of 20 then release gradually
          • How to do it – This is at edge of their ‘bum’ – and is to be found by exploration – feels right ..
then you dive in 45 degrees at least – slowly firmly and increasingly hard – guard your hands –
and stay there at least 20 seconds. Ask them to feel what is happening and likely something will
‘give’ at least the first time you do this.

            • When to use – Usually after the sacral smash – but if not doing this – move (As in pregnancy – as in me with Amy) do this cautiously and VERY SLOWLY.

What to do to set it up to win – Not an opening move – otherwise – will be fine – BUT do work on what the intention is – and check out the ligaments – this is another spectacular tool.

            See more here (CLICK)

            • What it is – a good stretch
            • Origin? – Don Elijio Panti
            • Why it is – we have been working in different areas and this helps balance out the front and the back.
            • How to do it – gently take their lower legs back, your right lower arm as the ‘bar’ – and at the same time press towards the end of the table, with your left hand on the sacrum – so that also gets a good stretch.
            • What it may feel like – under your hands/fingers – go with the body – do not force it – you will feel it let go – do maybe a deep breath – they also may and that makes a big difference. .
            • When to use – in sequence – as the near to end. .
            • When not to use – if they have had recent hip surgery or some other structural major – also not necessarily indicated of very pregnant – unless you are very proficient and this is done with them lying on the floor in a nest of pillows.
            • What to do to set it up to win – be aware that all are so very different and be respectful – it is a stretch, not a war.  Do warn thm that this is a stretch and that they could breathe into it.
