WHAT TO DO – Healing After C-Section

Preparation (if this is to be elective)

Did you know that the first C section – for any reason will be because of LACK of a vital nutrients? Vit D3 . . Get this on board

RIGHT NOW

You will need oral mega dosages.

OR – if it is summer – middle of the day 10 minutes each side – all body – (do not shower after).

Build up from 5 minutes each side to 15 over a few weeks DAILY. . .

Cover only your pink bits. . .

Initially – always drink more water.

More rest.

Extra Vit D3 supplements – at least 20,000 iu daily for at least a month after birthing and preferably be up at 100+n/m/l pre birth to ensure all minerals and your immune system work perfectly – so you do not need this surgery.

You need .  . . . .  after a C section – more than this – at least SIX WEEKS at home being looked after.

Being a new mum AND having had a major abdominal operation –
means that you are in recovery mode.

Afterwards

in healing, please remember that this is major abdominal work and needs time plus the usual month or so to course you back to perfect. All cultures who have a lying in period would extend this by at least a month if they were your carer. This means – stop and rest!! Your more normal ‘life’ can be picked up later. The use of the safe intimate care products will guarantee easy transition from just birthed to happily sitting/using body however you want.

If you are weeks/months/years down the track – and still feel that you are not fully healed . .

You are normal and this can be improved upon. Listening to case histories over the decades, I hear a similar theme.  The point of ‘breakage’ is often of the heart and at birthing or afterwards with poor communication and support – and hence a loss of blood/security and often of deep pain/trauma on all levels.

As Dr Shen was very clear on the arrival of shock – and usually at or around birth for all of us, and definitely for the mother a primal wound that lodges deeply and forever. The realm of birthing leaves immense energy stores of grief/betrayal /rage and helpless /hopelessness in its wake.

It may be different in other countries, but in Australia, the need for primal and immediate maternal/baby bonding has been replaced by antiseptic panics over hospital protocols.  The bereftness felt at such a pivotal time of life for all concerned than is stored, and this is part of what ‘bridging‘ these physical scars releases.

As acupuncturists are taught in college that ‘emotions’ (not being expressed appropriately) are a ‘cause of disease, I am suggesting that a lot of the history taking we do – (of not the physical end results that hey are upset about – but what started everything off) could be more revealing and focus on FEELINGS as most women can download a stash around birthing instantly.

This is a great source of brewing/festering heat underneath the Stuck Liver Qi etc.  The cold that arrived with the operation and aftercare, the loss of blood not replenished, leaving her in a vulnerable state to begin maternity, and all the emotional issues that were shelved as care if newborn took hold of her life, and all await and fester.

Scars are not just on the surface, and in the physical

Heartfelt distress and consequent life disruptions are not part of what nature had intended when you conceived your little loved one. There may be substantial healing needed prior to another baby – or to just be able to move on, so your life feels easy again.

Please find yourself someone to assist with this – the organisations set up specifically for this may be able to help you. All cultures respected and revered women, and their role in creating the next generation – hence the future.

Start with a little organic castor oil inside, and on the wounded areas – once they are sealed over.

Comfrey ointment used to massage in to the wounds – esp C section – once healed – in addition to the organic castor oil – and using moxa on the sacrum to enhance blood and Qi flow through the area – and on the actual scar – over the top of it – for a few minutes then following up with acupuncture or least self massage – is what may be needed – regardless of how old the scarring is.

Finding an obstetrically experienced wise womanly acupuncturist may be very helpful.

Find a Gentling Way practitioner – for assistance as it is holistic – treating all aspects of you – as your needs will be.

Many have been able to heal this at home using all the info on of all things’ birth preparation – moxa and massage for the pelvis to get the Qi and Blood flowing again.
