ME OF THE INVESTIGATION:MRI examination of the cervical spine natively
CLINICAL PARTICULARS AND INDICATION (S)Neck pain for 6 years, numbness in both hands, numbness in the fingers. Also a history of polytraumatizationis included.
DETAILED FINDING:A C.I.-Th.II. section has been mapped.Cervical lordosis persisted, no scoliosis developed.The position, height and signal intensity of the vertebrae are normal. C.IV.-VII. level moderate circular spondyloticuselongation and signs of moderate uncovertebral arthrosis are seen.C.IV./V. and C.V./VI. discs degenerated, their height decreased evenly. C.IV./V. level right overweight, C.V./VI.at the height, a predominantly left disc-spondylophytic complex is depicted, which narrows the affected neurophores,root compression cannot be ruled out.C.VI./VII. level, a 7 mm root sac cyst is depicted in the right root step, which is likely to cause compression.does not cause. The disco shows a slight broad-based midline protrusion.No disc abnormality was observed in the other segments.The craniocervical transition and imaged spinal cord section are of regular course, thickness, and signal intensity. The surroundingliquor space intact.
RADIOLOGICAL OPINION, PROPOSAL:C.IV.-VII. elevated moderate spondylarthrosis and discopathy.Discus degeneration and right overweight disc-spondylophyte complex C.IV./V. level.Discus degeneration and left overweight disc-spondylophyte complex C.V./VI. level.CONCLUSION:Moderate sponydylosis, facet joint osteoarthritis and discopathy of the C4-7 region.Degenerative disc with right sided disc osteophyte complex of the C4 / 5 level.Degenerative disc with left sided disc osteophyte complex of the C5 / 6 level.
