Men’s Moves

Why are we doing this?

We are intending to release any blockages in the mid section.
Most sit about a lot. More than any time in the past.  We were not designed for inaction.
Invariably over the life, testicles have suffered with accidental knocks.

Fluids pool, and accumulations gather. The congestion builds.

Add to this the contamination of the modern world – tiny miniscule particles at a time, not enough pure water drunk and not enough action ‘downstairs’ sexually often PLUS too many excuses for no exercise – a ripe field of woe congealing!

There may be varicocele (testicular hernias essentially) , testicular size discrepancy, testicles too warm (they should feel cooler than the body to touch), leg circulation troubles – ulcers/DVT, swelling or/and pain in legs/joints back pan, belly aching – sexual and reproductive and/or urinary/prostate issues. .  . are all helped by getting the flows through here flowing again.
He cannot do this for himself.

Before you begin

Please complete the initial and advanced belly moves, and Qi and Lymph before this.
If you have moxa, (sacral fan) please start there before any of this.

Essential!!

This can feel remarkably invasive as most men have not been attended to in this fashion.

They are not usually prodded /touched ‘down there’ and may have past memories that may trigger them.

Be in a warm space.
Always start with loving intention, him having just emptied bladder – a must.

YOU:

  • Warm hands
  • No fingernails
  • Gentle to begin
  • Gradually gain depth
  • Do NOT try to move ‘bits’ under fingers out of the way – tubes etc belong there!!!

Ideally you would do this as a maintenance at least monthly once the initial intensive time is passed.

Maybe 3 x weekly for the first month or so.
Longer if it is a local problem – or leg /circulation issue that is being worked with.

Getting started

He is to be lying on his back, with pillows under his knees, so there is less tension in his belly.

Pre and post checks – to see how you are traveling.

You may use the perineal pull-up to gauge inner core strength improvements.

Below is the action – please watch first . .

BELOW IS THE FULL DEAL for practitioners of the Gentling Way.

You will see me doing all the belly moves.

Full perimeter – the ’round and round’ move.
The diastasis correction.
Finish with a perimetre sweep. (The round and round again).
Wobbe/wobble also is a great lymph mover.

Peristalsis encouragers (small circles)

Belly calming (3×3 and one extras 3 to the navel)

Deeper – the second round of circles.

Lower belly calming (3×3 and one extras 3 to the navel)
‘Ovarian’ clearing.

Upper lymph drainage

Full belly work  – above.

Below – beginning of the lower moves and the prostatic drainage

Gently – press the point CV 2 on the middle of the pubic bone – and the point one inch out from the left nipple – if you press in firmly and it hurts – use this as a measure to see how we are going at the end of these manoeuvres.

1 – Align with the pubic bone – the horizontal line.
The point CV 2 is at the intersection of these.

Careful – initially it may be extremely tender.

2 – (below) direction of the movement. Use heaps of oil – I use Tui massage balm as it is not greasy, I do not slip on it and it is easier on hairy areas.

Please watch the instructions here (for acupuncturists so I am talking of acupuncture points – which you may also press as a baseline – as we need to have some evaluation).

NOTE: This is easier if you have done the moxa  sacral fan first (smoky moxa – instructions are to be found in the Men’s Massage Moves course) and also on the footage here.

3 – Angle in – starting about an inch (2+ cm) out from the midline, and at a 45 degree angle. Depth? You need to be eventually about 3 cm in.

Start shallow and work your way in – this is why the prelude work is essential.

4 – Move – across the belly and about an inch (2+ cm) down in the body.

Start shallow and gouge deeper as the body allows you to.

Scrape in about an inch down and across.

Seen from a different perspective:

You are losing your fingers in at least a knuckle joint, if not more.
