Description:

Description:

Unexplained weight gain in pregnancy

Why:

If you were too thin before, this may be nature creating you to be perfect

Being larger than you may have been is probably what will keep you well & sane & breastfeeding after birth

Description:

Unintended loss of weight, without food or exercise changes in pregnancy

Why:

Possibly the best thing to happen if you are eating/living better than ever before
Fat & fluid may be leaving you, (depending on how you feel all may be perfect)
However, if feeling too strung out & harried, may be an overactive thyroid

Solution:

Go to medical professional to check thyroid is not overactive
If all is well, see an Acupuncturist to normalise all that is happening

Description:

Normally, with a well pregnancy, baby initiates the dance of labor at around 40 weeks (41 weeks is seen as normal in France), mum & baby work it out with minimum of fuss & pain.
Typically a longer pregnancy by 10-12 days first baby.
Longer also if mum has been ill & baby needs “catching up” & mum is in a well nourished enough state for this to happen. Some women tend to follow the pattern of their mother’s line.

Why:

Time taken used to be seen as normally 12 hours, first baby; shorter for subsequent.
Natural labor & birthing are well within all women’s grasp & great nutrition.
Support & pelvic massage will ensure easy birthing also for you. 

Solution:

Please note the use of the word “too” as though there is a plan, and what is happening to mum is deviating from this.
There is always a reason.
Birthing should be easy, and is not life threatening.
All mammals birth best when undisturbed.

Description:

Once baby is here, all servicing stops, mum goes from total support to nameless anonymous mum, who is no longer that interesting yet this is when the support & care are really needed as she wends her way through learning to mother well.

Why:

With all the panic & fears that manipulate towards apparent need for “safe” birth, all have may have forgotten the baby.
Baby needs a bonded, happy mum.
Baby needs to birth when ready to breathe.
Quality pregnancies are made with conscious eating & living & attention to self care, not testing & crisis avoidance.

Solution:

Get a continuity of care natural health provider & a good acupuncturist is invaluable.
Research the effect of birthing on all post natal life for both mum & bub so you can make bonding choices for you both.
Take Vitamins B, C, D in large amounts,
put magnesium oil over your body many times daily & believe in yourself.

Description:

Forgotten part of pregnancy.
Nature does birth beautifully when mum’s head (worries) is disengaged, and baby’s head is in optimal position
– down in mum’s pelvis, back lying on mum’s left side.

Trust your body can birth.

Description:

Life interrupted by painful tightenings, but not in labour.

Why:

Insufficient Vit D, magnesium and possibly calcium, meaning the usual painless uterine preparation is being noticed.

Solution:

Put more magnesium oil on body,
use Vit D & C internally,
start eating lots more green veggies, protein & fat in preparation for the milk production that body signaling missing resources with symptoms.

Description:

Seen as a reason to have a C section although research shows easiest, safest position is upright, facing forwards, natural birth, with skilled trusting birth attendants.

Why:

Mum and baby may have things to work out.
Either of them could have ambivalence on birthing – or may be a structural alignment needed
– or baby is in safest place & could easily birth if allowed to &/or maybe not as cord placement unsafe.

Solution:

Stop and focus.
Feel into why you are stressed.
Babies can shift even in labour – if all is well and natural.
Moxa on sacrum with mum sitting forwards often relaxes uterus and baby can shift.
Rebozo.

Description:

Modern obstetrics has redefined a normal pregnancy and rushes birth.
Baby is taking longer than 40 weeks to be ready to be born.

Why:

Maybe your uterus/family line takes slightly longer to “cook” a perfect baby.
Maybe baby is in an inconvenient lie, or you are not birth ready.
Or you were ill /stressed in the middle of pregnancy & bub needs to catch up.

Solution:

Educate yourself and be proactive to stand up for your baby’s health.
Labour starts when baby and you are ready.
Forcing a flower to open has consequences.
So does picking unripe fruit.

Description:

Modern obstetrics is doctor avoiding crisis, not optimal baby bonding/easy breastfeeding/great neonatal health driven. Induction (unless needed in case of imminent death) has been shown in all studies to be dangerous yet it is lucrative.

Why:

Mum is fed up with pregnancy – Doctor keen to induce.
No one thinking of baby needs, future maternal distress & likelihood of expensive post C section care as a direct result of forcing what is not ripe enough.

Solution:

Do you own research.
Get baby into optimal fetal position,
take vastly more Vit D, C, B & magnesium,
enjoy last few days of pregnancy, rest.
Eat, be happy, ignore dire warnings, see an acupuncturist.

Description:

Someone else thinks that they know better than your body & you believe them.

Why:

You are not trusting your body & baby & you will need to, once there is no money in it for specialists,
so perhaps let go the need to be “good” and go with your gut.
Believe in yourself and your baby.

See apparent need for induction.

Solution:

Let nature do the job it is designed to.
Live well, seek good acupuncture & midwifery support & babies come when they are ready to breathe.

Description:

A lower than arbitirarily “normal” level of platelets (found in blood testing).
Platelets help in clotting factors.
May be of no consequence.
May show possible clotting issues.
Could indicate onset of HELLP syndrome (a variant or complication of pre-eclampsia).

Why:

Insufficient care & attention to health prior to pregnancy.
Not listening to body when it needs rest/resources.
Excessive stress, excessive control of self, excessive emotions.

Solution:

Relax, stop work, rest, exercise.
Drink more – good hydration is essential.
No sugar.
More fat, protein, veggies, vitamins D, C, B, & magnesium.

Description:

Lower than ideal iron levels in blood.
May feel washed out & exhausted.

Why:

Digestive capacity compromised, low intake of foods rich in iron, over-vigilance in testing.
May be part of ongoing low thyroid issue.

Solution:

Take good gut bugs, eat more greens, eggs, liver, zinc.
Take more vitamins C, B, D, & magnesium – all to assist the gut and nervous system to work well.

Description:

Genetic tendencies, found in blood testing.
FVL causes clotting, miscarriages & stillbirths.

Why:

Reduction in nutrients in a compromised person will elicit clotting, which may reduce the placental function &/or create clots, as well as PE (pulmonary embulisms).
Elevated homocysteine levels may be the key.

Solution:
