Weight Loss

Why am I overweight?

Is the modern diet a cause of what happens next?

In the first of this three-part series, Jacques Peretti traces those responsible for revolutionising our eating habits, to find out how decisions made in America 40 years ago influence the way we eat now.

Peretti travels to America to investigate the story of high-fructose corn syrup. The sweetener was championed in the US in the 1970s by Richard Nixon’s agriculture secretary Earl Butz to make use of the excess corn grown by farmers. Cheaper and sweeter than sugar, it soon found its way into almost all processed foods and soft drinks. HFCS is not only sweeter than sugar, it also interferes with leptin, the hormone that controls appetite, so once you start eating or drinking it, you don’t know when to stop.

Endocrinologist Robert Lustig was one of the first to recognise the dangers of HFCS but his findings were discredited at the time. Meanwhile a US Congress report blamed fat, not sugar, for the disturbing rise in cardio-vascular disease and the food industry responded with ranges of ‘low fat’, ‘heart healthy’ products in which the fat was removed – but the substitute was yet more sugar.

Meanwhile, in 1970s Britain, food manufacturers used advertising campaigns to promote the idea of snacking between meals. Outside the home, fast food chains offered clean, bright premises with tempting burgers cooked and served with a very un-British zeal and efficiency. Twenty years after the arrival of McDonalds, the number of fast food outlets in Britain had quadrupled.

Sugar

How it all happens – sugar water with everything?

Magnetise baby with mild opiate affect – called SUGAR.

Drug like effects – fruit and juices and alcohol and all manner of things that give us the NEED for more – it gets into everything and it turns to fat on your body. DRUG effect . . . of sugar and how it starts us up for life.

Anything that converts to sugar (cereals/grains/fruit/juices and of course the obvious suspects) all turns to fat on your body.

Best way to start healthy living ?
Throw out all that is sweet in your diet.

Fat

Dietary fat is needed for hormones and feeling good and full when eating.

Obesity, heart disease, cholesterol, diabetes, infertility and cancer statistics have all skyrocketed since 1984 when the Fear Fat campaign started.

What else could be wrong?

Cold

These days we are bombarded by cold in many forms.
Restaurants almost always present water in ice as a matter of course.
Asking for drinks without ice is seen as being somewhat odd.

Cold seems to make its way into the body as though this is a good thing – and when added in intentionally/ therapeutically it is often way over the top – how can anything get better when partially frozen? Healing is not all about feeling numb. Pain often is instructive and actually telling us to NOT carry on as usual – we are damaged . . .

I have written an ebook which is an introduction to what you can do to help yourself – and live very differently as a result.

So many people come into see me – often YEARS after the cold was used – and the cold has quietly wrecked their bodies’ ability to work well – resulting in myriad complaints – none of which are satisfactorily addressed through usual means.

Putting it all down to ‘aging’ is just not good enough . . .
Using MORE cold is ALSO an insult to the body.

Allowing ice or cold ANYWHERE near a birthing or breastfeeding mother is plain stupidity
– learn why and how to sort yourself out . . .

Chinese medicine gives a template for wellness and self empowerment. Most of what the ‘old wives’/inherited wisdom spoke of was based on lifetimes of observation – and although there may be no ‘science’ involved – following what has worked through all different cultures and over time will also help you to help yourself.

Thyroid Problems

Just about every person who so-comes to see me has a low functioning thyroid – and it impacts on every aspect of life.

Doctors do the blood test and say ‘within normal limits’ which means almost everyone is ill.
“Normal” may not be “Healthy”.

Unless it is terrible, you are looking at:

  • not losing weight,
  • feeling normal,
  • having an easy life
  • period issues
  • allergies,
  • digestive issues,
  • fibromyalgia,
  • constipation,
  • slow and leaky guts
  • depression,
  • foggy heads,
  • can’t think,
  • can’t get up easily in the morning,
  • feel bloated,
  • and it goes on and on –

look to the thyroid area of this site for all of what can happen – and in amongst all of this – you want to lose weight – so you stop eating all fat – then get depressed.

How can I lose weight and keep it off?

The age-old weight loss axiom of “eat less, exercise more” has proven to be a complete and total failure with 98% of dieters gaining back their lost weight, and in many cases, more than they began with.

Calorie restriction and excessive exercise are just a bandage that temporarily covers up the real, underlying causes of weight gain.  It is up to you to change YOUR life – but how do you?

To achieve lasting results, to stop dieting and solve your weight loss problem forever, you need to find the cause and work holistically to reverse it.

Sustainable weight loss must include a mind-body approach – it’s the only way.

Firstly, what is your BBT?

Your Basal Body Temperature (BBT) is a measure of how your metabolism is traveling.

Steps to take

  1. Start eating and living as your body wants you to.
No chemicals as they are wrecking everyone – stop the extraneous immunological assaults (otherwise called  a ‘health’ care option) – vaccination.
  2. Go to starting up detoxing and energy cycles instantly, easily and safely
  3. Get your easily taken supplements to kick start your own Glutathione production today and see how much better ALL of you feels when it all works the way it always should have.
  4. With more Vitamin C (greens and coloured veggies at least 4 cups of these daily), lots of Vitamin D (the sun) and rest (asleep before 10 pm)
  5. Exercise (at least 10,000 steps daily as your baseline before you do ‘exercise’ ) will all help.
  6. Get rid of everything that tastes sweet – you will be surprised – you won’t need to eat so much and you will have a loving, not distressed person to share your life with.
